Garu ACT Schooled Teachers on Issues on Education

Garu(NBCD), 15th July, 2019-As part of measures to ensure that teachers are abreast with current happenings in GES and also empower themselves financially for any rainy day, the leadership of Association of Catholic Teachers – Holy Angels Parish – Garu, organized a day’s Capacity Building Training for its teachers at the Integral Training Center (ITC) on Saturday, July 13, 2019.

Participants were taken through Issues on promotion in GES and the Teacher and Entrepreneurship. Seasoned personnel in the field – Mr. Francis Ayaaba (Rtd. Director of Education) & Mr. David Azupogo (an Entrepreneur) took the over 60 participants on these topics.

The Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocesan President of ACT, Mr. Francis Awan Ndago congratulated the leadership of ACT-Garu Chapter for taking that giant step to organise its second capacity building training for its members.

He encouraged members to pay their dues and those still sitting on the fence to join in building a more vibrant association in the Parish and the Diocese at large.

It was interesting to note that non-catholic teachers also participated in the training.

Aside the knowledge gained, each participant had a book, pen, snack, lunch & certificate of participation.
