Sunyani (B/R) 13th April 2021, ACT News-The Association of Catholic Heads of Higher Institutions (ACHHI) in Ghana has elected new National Executives to take care of the activities of the association for one year as their Constitution required.
The election took place at Wa in 2019 but as result of the outbreak of the Covid-19 in 2020 they were not inducted into office. The swearing-in and the induction ceremony were held at their 40th Anniversary celebration which is underway at Catholic Diocese of Sunyani in the Bono Region.
The new executives are Sr. Benedict Auzokwe,(HHCJ) Headmistress of Sacred Heart SHS at Nsoatre as the President, Sr. Antoinette Abiwu, Headmistress of Ola Girls at Kenyasi as Vice President, Fr Hubert Asante Kumi, Headmaster of St Augustin SHS at Berekum was elected as the secretary and Sr. Christiana Chika, Headmistress of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Girls at Techiman was also elected as the financial Secretary for the association.
Swearing in and induction was done by Rev. Fr. Martin Oduro Bilson, Rector of St Francis seminar/SHS, Buoyem Techiman.
He entreated them to be committed to the Catholic Church as well as the association to help in providing holistic quality education to the young ones.
Sr. Benedict Auzokwe, thanked the members of the Association for the trust they had imposed in them and pledged to do their best for the Association to be strong and also support the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference in delivering quality education to their students.
